Great Results for DayNighter Teams

posted Sep 13, 2011, 9:54 PM by Manawatu MTBClub
Teams associated with MMBC posted some great results at the Jamis DayNighter last weekend. In stunning Taupo weather and smothering dust, teams raced on the Spa Park 7.5km track for 6 or 12 hours.

In the 6-Hour Event, Fiona MacDermid won the Women's Solo class by two laps and was a staggering 5th overall.

In the 12-hour, Manawatu Teams (or teams with club members) posted some impressive results with 7 teams on the podium.  The Q-Kayaks Junior Team won the hotly contested junior grade and Team Yeti, a Wellington Team with our own Megan Dimozantos, won the 2/3 Mixed grade.  Q-Kayaks Living the Dream, impressed with 2nd place in the tough Older Peddlers grade as they only had a team of 3 against 5 men teams. Well done Tom, Ross and Alan.

The Mad Mexicans won best site with their Mexican Cantina, Tequila shots and some bad mustaches.
