The AGM of the Manawatu Mountain Bike Club will be held at the Education Centre, Palmerston North Hospital, Gate 12 Ruahine St at 7:30pm on Wednesday September 22nd. Someone will be in the car park to help you find the meeting room.
This is an important meeting for the Club as we intend to make some changes to the Club to ensure a better future for all. As these changes affect the Club constitution, we are required to notify all members in writing of the proposed changes. We will be posting out to everyone a copy of the proposed constitution, the changes being proposed and information about the Strategic Plan that the committee have adopted, which is driving these changes.
There have also been some changes to our affiliation with Mountain Bike New Zealand, which means a proposed change to our membership fee structure and cost. The committee have reviewed our current fee structure and worked to make the structure more equatable and simpler, while minimising the cost increase to members. For some members we propose to decrease membership fees.
Full details of all these issues will be posted to you within the next week, with an agenda and remits that the committee propose to introduce. Of course all members can debate these remits and voting at the AGM will determine the final outcome.
We need your input into the AGM as we need a quorum of at least 16 voting members at the AGM and a 2/3rd majority to pass any changes. Please come along to listen to these proposals and make your vote count.
